The Badlands Genetics Plus crew held their annual production sale at Stockmen's Livestock, Dickinson, North Dakota, on Feb. 3. The families of Bill and Sharon Ceynar, Seth and Lacy Cargo along with Paul and Sandy Fehrman presented an excellent set of bulls for this year's sale.

This is an operation known for producing high volume, thick bulls that will add pounds and performance to your calf crop. The bulls were in excellent sale condition and very well accepted and bid on by the large crowd on hand.

Top-selling bulls

• High seller: Lot 5, CSF Red Zone 1C, a Feb. 2015 son of C-Bar Evolution 107Y with moderate 71 pound birth weight, 749 pound weaning weight and 1332 pound yearling weight This herd sire prospect posted EPDs of BW -4.7, WW 48, YW 80, Milk 26, Stay 11. L 83 Ranch, Westhope, North Dakota was the buyer at $26,000.

• Second high seller: Selling at $16,750 was lot 1, Badlands Cinched 521C, a Feb. 2015 son of Buffalo Creek Lancer R017 with EPDs of BW 0.9, WW 70, YW 103, Milk 14, Stay 11. TJS Red, Lodge Grass, Montana, was the buyer.

• Third high seller: Lot 3, PFFR Extreme Opportunity 519, a Feb. 2015 son of Badlands Opportunity 53Y with EPDs of BW 2.4, WW 90, YW 136, Milk 11, Stay 7 sold to Larry Thomann, Iowa.

• Fourth high seller: Lot 24, PFFR Next Opportunity 533, a Feb. 2015 son of Badlands Opportunity 53Y with EPDs of BW 3.3, WW 103, YW 162, Milk 11, Stay 11 sold to Delvin Dukart, Manning, North Dakota for $10,500.

• Fifth high seller: Lot 9, Badlands Cowboy Up 514C, a Feb. 2015 son of Buffalo Creek Lancer R017 sold to repeat buyer John Vliem, Lodgepole, South Dakota, for $8,000. This bull has EPDs of BW 0.9, WW 70, YW 103, Milk 14, Stay 11.

• Sixth high seller: Lot 36, CFS New Direction 14C with EPDs of BW -1.2 WW 75 YW 125 Milk 24 Stay 10 sold to Broken Heart Ranch, Firesteel, South Dakota, for $7,000.
