The Hereford, LCX MD Keepsake 118ET, was named Supreme Row Bull. Consigned by Larry Crane, Mitchell, SD, he was sired by TCC Mr. Davidson 81ET and out of MSV Keepsake 14S. He sold for $9,750 to Doug Streit, Hartley, IA.

The Angus, Sterlings Lookin’ Great 19Y, was named Supreme Row Female. Consigned by Sterling Cattle Partners, Northwood, IA, she was sired by BC Lookout 7024 and out of Hutchings MS K Emulation 9606. She sold for $3,000 to Charles Buus, Lennox, SD.

The high-selling female was Lot 8, a consignment from Nelson Angus, Egeland, ND. She sold to Larry Starr, Bisbee, ND, for $3,500. The second high-selling female was Lot 9, a consignment from Cullen Walser, Minnesota Lake, MN. She sold to Randy Rolfsmeier, Correll, MN, for $3,000.

Al Conover, Baxter, IA, served as auctioneer for the Angus Sale. He auctioned 43 bulls and nine females for an average of $4,515.12 and $2,605.56, respectively.

Bayley Kroupa, White Lake, SD, exhibited the champion market steer at the Sioux Empire Farm Show Market Beef Show Jan. 27 in Sioux Falls, SD.

The reserve champion market steer was exhibited by Tyler Bush, Britton, SD.

A total of 21 steers were exhibited.

Third through fifth places overall were as follows: Cassie Hoblyn, York, NE; Tyler Trihus, Blooming Prairie, MN; and Emma Brost, Walworth, WI.

Trent Kempler, Jefferson City, MO, exhibited the champion market goat at the Sioux Empire Farm Show Market Goat Show Jan. 27 in Sioux Falls, SD.

The reserve champion market goat was exhibited by Taylor Gonder, Runnells, IA.

A total of 50 goats were exhibited.

Hunter Gerths, Glencoe, OK, exhibited the champion market lamb, at the Sioux Empire Farm Show Market Lamb Show Jan. 26 in Sioux Falls, SD.

The reserve champion market lamb was exhibited by Madison Rule, Hawarden, IA.

A total of 26 lambs were exhibited.

Dakota Crissman, Bells, Texas, exhibited the champion market swine, a barrow, at the Sioux Empire Farm Show Market Swine Show Jan. 25 in Sioux Falls, SD.

The reserve champion market swine, a gilt, was exhibited by Denton Sanders, Eagle Grove, IA.

A total of 74 barrows and 40 gilts were exhibited.

Shane Lindsey, Prairie City, IA, judged the 4H/FFA Youth Invitational Calf Show at the Sioux Empire Farm Show Jan. 24 in Sioux Falls, SD.

Six classes of breeding heifers were shown with the grand champion heifer going to Ethan Johnson, Baltic, SD. Sammi Schrag, Marion, SD, exhibited the reserve champion heifer.

Forty head were shown with first and second place in each of the six classes as follows: Class 1: Alex Rogen, Brandon, SD; Adam Eichacker, Salem, SD; Class 2: Ethan Johnson, Baltic, SD; Eric Metzger, Lester, IA; Class 3: Kade Scott, Canton, SD; Katelyn Lueth, Montrose, SD; Class 4: Sammi Schrag, Marion, SD; Brandi Raatz, Jasper, MN; Class 5: Travis Hofer, Bridgewater, SD; Wesly Johnson, Pipestone, MN; and Class 6: Maddie Elbert, Rock Rapids, IA; Autumn Haan, Chancellor, SD.

Thirty-three steers were shown in five classes. The champion steer went to Ashley Beer, Canton, SD, with the reserve championship going to Makayla Nelson, Volga, SD.
