Man, what a fantastic sale again for the Deveraux, Pischke and Thompson families who hosted the seventh Annual Full House Elite Performance Stock Horse Sale in Newcastle Wyoming on June 18. The events started June 17 with a performance preview of the arena and ranch horses. A walk-through preview and barbecue followed later in the evening. Sale day morning kicked off with another preview and by sale time the seats were full of prospective buyers and bidders from across the US, who have learned that this is one of the premier horse sales in the region.

The horses in the sale are proven arena and ranch horses along with a few prospects that have an excellent start and are ready to go on to compete in most any level of rodeo, jackpots or everyday ranch work. Craig Deveraux, Jill Pischke and Frank Thompson put the best horses they owned that they felt were ready for the sale, plus were very instrumental in hand selecting high quality horses from select reputable trainers and horsemen. The horses were very well represented and sold guaranteed to be how they were represented.

The top selling horse on the day was lot 12, Tspoon O Pepto, a 2009 blue roan gelding ridden by Zane Marty. This horse is sired by Peptos Blueprint x Peptoboonsmal and out of a Red Hot Quixote x Doc Quixote x Cash The Chips bred mare. “Seven” as they called him has won money in the NRCHA futurities as well as ranch horse competitions, plus been hauled and won off in both heading and healing. Milo Wisness, Keen, North Dakota, was the buyer at $31,000.

Lot 19, Catty Little Twister shown by Brent Lewis sold at $26,000 to Tanya Wahlert, Grover, Colorado. This 2009 sorrel gelding is out of Storm O Cat x Smooth As A Cat x High Brow Cat on the top side and Double R Doc X Doc O Lena on the bottom. This horse has shown tons of potential to be a big time calf roper and handles both ends quite well in team roping.

Lot 27, Yogi, a 2006 dun gelding shown by Siggins Horse Company proves you don’t need registration papers to get the job done. A solid heading horse that has been hauled for 3 years, he also works the heels plus you can do your ranch chores with him. Todd Bishop, Burns, Wyoming, was the winning bidder at $25,500.

Selling at $24,500 was lot 1, Dun It Hollywood Style, a 2010 Palomino gelding out of Brennan Golden Dunit x Hollywood Dunit and out of a Kali By Golly Kalian x Hobby Doc mare. “Ringo” has been used extensively on the ranch plus in the jackpots in both heading and heeling and reigning events. They started hauling him to rodeos this spring and he is gentle. This horse was ridden by Craig Deveraux family and purchased by Hank Williams, Norwood, Colorado.

Lot 39, Mr. Frost a 7-year old gray gelding ridden by Ivan Brovont sold to Nancy Landeck, Clearmont, Wyoming, for $22,500. This smooth riding, gentle, stout gelding has willingly done every ranch job shown to him and has been started in heading and healing.

Lot 7, Chasing Mavericks, a 2009 bay gelding shown by Shawn Harrelson is out of Super Eyed Eagle x Eagle Hills Duke x Two Eyed Jack on the top side and Monsieur Betterfly x Rocket Wrangler on the bottom. He is good in the arena in both heading and healing and had tons of outside miles on the ranch. Jerry Gould, Roggen, Colorado, was the buyer at $22,500.

Two horses sold at $20,500 each.

Lot 8, Joker, an 11 yr. old buckskin gelding ridden by Craig Deveraux family sold to Wade Kramer, Hyannis, Nebraska.
