5L Red Angus 2nd Annual "Right For The Times" Fall Bull Sale

Scott Dirk

Larry and Lisa Mehlhoff and their family Laramie, Larisa, Larinda, Landon and Logan hosted a great crowd of buyers and spectators to their 2nd Annual Right for the Times Fall Bull sale. This is truly a family operation, each and every family member playing an integral role in the day-to-day activities of the ranch.

The bulls in the sale had been raised and prepared just for this sale. They have been rigidly culled, and only the top end was offered. 5L cattle are bred to be balanced and adaptable to changing environments and nutrition. With the somewhat volatile commodities market, cattle need to be able to adapt to whatever program works best for the buyers, whether that be a traditional feedlot operation or a grass-fed program. These bulls are bred to produce cattle that will work in most any aspect of the industry, without forgetting the all important mother cow. 5L bulls are truly “Right for the Times.”
