American Limousin Association carload results National Western Stock Show

The National Western Stock Show (NWSS) Limousin and Lim-Flex® pen and carload shows took place Jan. 12 in Denver, CO. Judges Dan Hoge, Galva, IL.; Gordon Schuppe, Iliffe, CO; and Dave Thompson, Shafter, CA, evaluated 37 pens, and six carloads.

The grand champion carload of Limousin bulls came from Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, CO. The eight head had an average birthdate of Sept. 29, 2010; an average weight of 1,557 pounds; and an average weight per day of age (WDA) of 3.36 pounds. Sires represented in the group were DHVO Deuce 132R, LH Rodemaster 338R and Wulfs Sirloin 3172S.

The reserve champion carload of Limousin bulls also came from Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, CO. The 10 head had an average birthdate of March 20, 2011; an average weight of 1,095 pounds; and an average WDA of 3.75 pounds. Sires represented in the group were DHVO Deuce 132R, MAGS The General and MAGS UR A Robin.

The People’s Choice carload came from Leonard Wulf & Sons, Morris, MN. The 10 head had an average birthdate of April 11, 2011; an average weight of 971 pounds; and an average WDA of 3.58 pounds. Sires represented in the group were Wulfs Uppermost 6196U, Wulfs Space Ship 3223S, HUNT Mr Jock 44J, Wulfs Realtor 1503R, Wulfs Ransom 3059R, Wulfs Unabridged 6093U, Wulfs Warbonnet 6254W and Wulfs Army General5093.

The grand champion pen-of-three Limousin bulls came from Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, CO. The division III winner had an average birthdate of January 18, 2011; an average weight of 1,242 pounds; and an average WDA of 3.51 pounds. DVHO Deuce 132R and LH Rodemaster 338R sired the group.

The reserve grand champion came from Leonard Wulf & Sons, Morris, MN. The reserve division III winner had an average birthdate of March 6, 2011; an average weight of 1,105 pounds; and an average WDA of 3.61 pounds. Wulfs Titus 2149T, Wulfs Army General5093 and Wulfs Upgrade 0500U sired the group.

The People’s Choice pen of Limousin bulls went to an entry from Leonard Wulf & Sons, Morris, MN. The division I champion had an average birthdate of April 15, 2010; an average weight of 1,895 pounds; and an average WDA of 3.02 pounds. The entry was sired by WZRK Primestar 861P, Wulfs Titus 2149T and HSF Undertaker.

The grand champion pen-of-three Lim-Flex bulls came from Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, CO. The reserve grand champion pen- of-three Lim-Flex bulls came from Tubmill Creek Farms, New Florence, PA. The pen had an average birthdate of March 10, 2011; an average weight of 1,200 pounds; and an average WDA of 3.97 pounds. C L Burbank, AHCC Westwind W544 and S A V Pioneer 7301 sired the group. They were also named People’s Choice Lim-Flex Pen.
