Annie’s Project offered in Scottsbluff in Sept.

Nebraska Extension is excited to offer Annie’s Project in Scottsbluff, beginning in September. Annie’s Project empowers farm and ranch women to be better business partners through networks and by managing and organizing critical information.

The six-week course is designed especially for farm and ranch women to help them develop their management and decision-making skills for their operations. Sessions include brief presentations, hands-on learning projects and discussions focused on the participants’ questions.

Annie’s Project gives farm and ranch women the opportunity to learn from agricultural professionals and network with other women in similar situations.

Annie’s Project meets from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 8, and Oct. 15. Topics include understanding market terminology, interpreting financial statements, and sifting through estate planning tools.

The cost is $75 per person. Participants will receive handouts, and an Annie’s Project portfolio and a light dinner at each meeting. Course size is limited. Pre-registration is due by Aug. 31, 2015. Annie’s Project is being funded by a grant from the USDA Risk Management Agency.
