Assman Land & Cattle Complete Dispersion

Dan Piroutek

Dan Forgey of Dallas, SD bought cows and heifers and is seen here with Mike Assman and Kevin Graesser of Dallas, SD.

Assman Land and Cattle, owned by Mike and Darla Assman and children, Megan and Scott, held their complete and total dispersion – a two-day event – in front of a capacity crowd. The Assmans have decided to pursue interests in organic farming and commercial cattle production.

This herd has generated a very wide field of respect from the entire cattle industry – producing some of the best spring bull sales in the nation. Some of the top AI sires have come from their herd, and they have built the cow herd that is responsible for all of these good things.

The demand stayed strong throughout both days, with many outfits buying pot loads of these outstanding females.

The top bred cow was Lot 525, ALC Blanche W07S, a 2/4/06 daughter of AAR Really Windy 1205. She was bred to SAV Final Answer 0035 and sold to Jac’s Ranch of Bentonville, AR. Lot 1, ALC Hazel L12L, became part of Kiamichi Link Ranch of Finley, OK at a price of $20,000. This 3/5/01 daughter of SVF Bandolier sold open and ready to flush.
