FORT WORTH – Beau Schroeder wasn’t satisfied with his first-place win in the finals at Tuesday night’s Bull’s Night Out.

Wednesday night he went one step further and won the entire second competition by covering both bulls. Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) the event at the Will Rogers Coliseum is part of the Xtreme Bulls tour.

Schroeder, who lives in China, Texas, is a former National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association champion. His success here can give him a leg up in the PRCA. He placed third in the first round with an 86-point effort on Andrews Rodeo Company’s Sand Man. In the finals, he rode Johnny Rotten from Rafter G Rodeo Company for 81.5 points. His total of 161.5 earned him the championship.

“It was a great pen of bulls,” Schroeder said of the competition. This is the first PRCA Extreme Bulls event of the season for Schroeder. He is off to a lucrative start winning over $4,300 of Wednesday night’s $15,000 purse. Schroeder and Sonny Murphy of Lehi, Utah, were the only bull riders to successfully ride two bulls each for the required eight seconds.

PRCA rodeo action kicks off this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. This will be the first of 30 performances through February 8, 2009.

Following are results from Wednesday night’s performance of Bull’s Night Out presented by Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show, January 21, 2009.
