Casey Tibbs SD Rodeo Center to hold Cowboy Carnival

In celebration of the National Day of the Cowboy holiday, The Casey Tibbs SD Rodeo Center in Ft. Pierre is hosting a Kids Cowboy Carnival on Sunday, July 24.

The carnival will be held from 1-4 p.m. There will be many traditional carnival games, such as bean bag toss and ring toss. Western-themed games include stick horse races and rope the steer. Most games are geared toward ages 5-12, but there is something for everybody to enjoy. Each game will cost 50 cents, with a portion of the proceeds going to the local 4-H organization.

Carnival food, such as hot dogs, popcorn, and sno cones will also be available. Families are welcome to bring picnics and make use of the picnic tables set up on the east side of the building.

The Rodeo Center Museum will be open during the Carnival, offering half-priced admission. Children 10 and under will receive free admission.
