Experienced crew to handle bullfighting duties at 2011 Wrangler NFR

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – An experienced crew of bullfighters – including two of the last three men named PRCA Bullfighter of the Year – has been selected to work the 53rd annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Dec. 1-10 in Las Vegas.

Australian-born Darrell Diefenbach, making his 11th consecutive appearance at the Wrangler NFR, was the Bullfighter of the Year in 2008. He is joined by reigning Bullfighter of the Year Dusty Tuckness, of Meeteetse, WY, and Kenny Bergeron, of Iota, LA.

It is the same group selected for last year’s Wrangler NFR. Tuckness and Bergeron are among the finalists for the 2011 PRCA Bullfighter of the Year Award, along with Travis Adams, Clay Collins and 2009 winner Cory Wall.

There are also familiar faces in the list of pickup men voted to serve at the Wrangler NFR. Bobby Marriott of Woods Cross, UT, was previously selected in 2006 and 2009, while Jason Bottoms of Corsicana, TX, has also worked the WNFR twice before, in 2005 and 2007.

Josh Edwards of Terrell, TX, will serve as the alternate pickup man.

Voting closes for the Wrangler NFR barrelman on Oct. 20.
