Foos Angus 20th Annual Production Sale

Scott Dirk

Sale host Bryce Foos visits with Jim Wilson of Crook Mt. Angus, Whitewood, SD, at the 20th Annual Foos Angus bull sale.

Foos Angus, under the management of Bryce Foos, hosted their 20th annual bull sale at the Belle Fourche Livestock Exchange on Feb. 11. The principles and philosophy at Foos Angus are based on maternal traits and an efficient cowherd that will breed back and bring in a big calf every fall. They are true believers in using the best of their own bulls and AI’ing to proven bulls in the breed.

This year’s sale offering was in great working condition. The bulls had not been overfed, they were sound on their feet and legs. Over 40 percent of the bulls in the sale would be suitable for use on heifers, but had the power to sire heavy weaning offspring.

There was a very nice crowd of both new and repeat buyers in the seats to give the Foos Family a very nice sale.
