The Gary and Kirsten Friedt Family of Mott, ND, held their annual Hereford production sale on Feb, 9. It was a cooler, windy day this year but no one complained about the weather, and it certainly didn’t stop the buyers from attending.

Topping the bull sale was Lot 5 a Jan. 17, 2011 bull with a final bid of $6,250 from Wayne Weishaar, Lemmon, SD. This FH L1 Domino 902 DLF, HYF IEF son posted a BW of 95 pounds, 205 day weight of 611 pounds and EPDs of: BW 3, WW 47, YW 85, Milk 29 M&G 52 and REA .48. This is as maternally strong as you can make them.

Lot 15 sold for $5,600 to Leif Jelesed, Charleston, ND, who purchased a son of FH L1 Domino 902 DLF, HYF IEF. This Feb. 17, 2011 yearling had a BW of 87 pounds with a 205 day weight of 679 pounds and EPDs of: BW 2.8, WW 50, YW 81, Milk 29, M&G 54 and REA .22.

Bert and Hestton Hauge, New Town, ND, purchased one with pigment, performance and structure for $5,250. This Lot 10, Feb. 15, 2011 son of FH L1 Domino 902 DLF, HYF IEF with a BW of 92 pounds, 205 day weight of 678 pounds and EPDs of: BW 3.1, WW 55, YW 86, Milk 29, M&G 56 and REA .42.

The next one really pushes the scales down a CJH Harland 408 CHB, DLF, HYF, IEF son, Lot 11 was purchased by Woroniecki Brothers, Hebron, ND, for $5,250. This Feb. 16, 2011 top Harland son posts a BW of 94 pounds, 205 day weight of 735 pounds and EPDs of: BW 3.2, WW 51, YW 82, Milk 28, M&G 53 and REA .31.

Wallace Wock, Dickinson, ND took home Lot 12 for $4,600 a son of H5 001 Domino 819 DLF, HYF, IEF posting a BW of 81 pounds and 205 day weight of 728 pounds and EPDs of: BW 1.9, WW 54, YW 79, Milk 30, M&G 57 and REA .25.
