Gibbs Angus Ranch and Stortz Angus Ranch Annual Sale

Doug Hogan

Darcy and Tracy Anderson of Volberg, MT

Gibbs and Stortz held their annual Angus bull sale Feb. 10 at Glendive Livestock Exchange. Gibbs Angus is owned by Tim and Laurie Gibbs and family, and Stortz Angus, is owned by Ted and Tarena Stortz and family.

Freezing rain and continued snowfall kept some North Dakota ranchers from attending the sale as the Interstate was closed for the day. Despite the winter conditions, these two operations brought to town a very uniform and solid set of bulls and heifers. These producers have spent countless hours in selecting genetics that will work well in their program and any others. Repeat buyers are very pleased with these programs and continue to purchase Gibbs and Stortz bulls year after year. The great disposition and maternal growth of their cattle are so important to the commercial cattlemen and women. The females raise a big efficient calf and breed back each year.
