Jim Sutton enters South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame March 26

Veteran stock contractor and rodeo producer Jim Sutton will complete a personal grand slam of sorts March 26 when he enters the South Dakota High School Basketball Hall of Fame. The honor follows his earlier enshrinement in the South Dakota State University (SDSU), South Dakota Amateur Basketball and South Dakota Sports halls of fame.

Sutton led his Onida High team to the 1953 Class B title, was a three-year starter at SDSU and was the first South Dakota player selected in the NBA draft – a ninth-round selection of the Minneapolis Lakers.
