These good cattlemen were there to select from the Bar 69 Angus Ranch’s strong set of well-bred, performance-tested bulls. These bulls were well grown and conditioned to work. The heifer mates to the bulls were also offered, selling as commercials. The females were deep-ribbed and long-sided that will make a great set of cows.

Top bull was Lot 513, Bar 69 Dash 0513, a calving ease son of Sitz Dash that had birth weight of 74 lbs., a weaning weight ratio of 114 and yearling weight ratio of 112. His EPDs and ultrasound scan data was also excellent. He sold for $6,500 to Ken Beck, Dallas, SD, a frequent repeat customer.

Beck also selected Lot 524, Bar 69 Upward 0524, an son of Sitz Upward 307R, for $6,250. He carried EPDs of BW +0.5, WW +56, Milk +31 and YW +105.

Also selling at $6,250 and going to Smith Angus, Buffalo, SD, was Lot 521, Bar 69 Upward 0521. He was a son of Sitz Upward 307R, and out of a daughter of Sitz Alliance 6595. His birth weight was 70 lbs. and both with weaning weight and yearling weight ratios were 108.

Smith Cattle Co., Milesville, SD, purchased Lot 548 for $5,750. Known as Bar 69 Upward 0548, he was a son of Sitz Upward 307R that carried excellent EPDs.

Repeat customer Kyle and Shelly West of Oshoto, WY, selected Lot 511, Bar 60 Alliance 9800 0511, for $6,000. He was a son of Sitz Alliance 9800 that posted the heaviest weaning weight (788 lbs.) and yearling weight (1,305 lbs.) in the entire auction.
