Presho (SD) Livestock

Dan Clark & Ron Volmer

36 Charolais bulls – $2,649; 62 Angus bulls – $2,623; 14 Maine Anjou bulls – $2,340; three Simmental bulls – $1,900; 125 bred heifers – $1,448

The Larson Ranch, owned by Darrell and Glenn Larson and their families of Hamill, SD, hosted a near packed house at their annual bull and heifer sale at Presho Livestock. Sale day was beautiful for weather and the people just kept coming as they studied this good set of cattle. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day as the Larsons created a friendly atmosphere for socializing and discussing the cattle business.

This was the first time I had seen these cattle, and I found that this was an outstanding set of bulls and heifers. The most impressive thing that I saw was the disposition of the entire set of cattle. After visiting with Audie and Darrell, I could understand why, as they say that they just won’t put up with any cattle with bad dispositions.
