McPherson Angus 4th Annual Production Sale

Scott Dirk

McPherson Angus hosted their production sale at the Philip Livestock Auction, Philip, SD on Jan. 18. There was a very nice crowd of buyers and bidders on hand for this, their fourth annual sale. Even though this was a small sale offering, the quality was excellent throughout. The buyers in the seats were very active in bidding and many went home without a bull.

The bulls showed added length, depth of body and muscle thickness. The goal at McPherson Angus is to raise registered Angus cattle like commercial cattle. Open cows, bad dispositions and hard doing inefficient cattle are not tolerated in the cowherd. The result is hard-working bulls and females that will work in most any range conditions.
