10 year old, Jayden Allen had a very good summer. This year was his second year in 4-H, he showed market lambs and market steers. He won Grand Champion Junior Beef Showman and Reserve Champion Junior Sheep Showman at the Scotts Bluff County Fair in Mitchell, NE.

His two market lambs did very well in their individual market classes at the county fair.

Jayden’s two market steers did very well too. He won Grand Champion Division 2 Market Steer and Reserve Champion 4-H Market Beef with his red and white steer, “Sherlock.” His black steer, “Cowboy Joe”, was the Grand Champion Division 1 Market Steer and the Grand Champion 4-H Market Beef. Then Jayden’s black steer became the overall Scotts Bluff County Fair Grand Champion Market Beef.

He went on to show “Cowboy Joe” at the Central States Fair in Rapid City, SD, and won Grand Champion Market Beef there.

“Jayden went to several progress shows and jackpots this summer and learned a great deal. He has found something that he is very good at and really enjoys,” said Jeana Allen, Jayden’s mother.

Unfortunately, Jayden was too young to show at the Nebraska State Fair this year. But, you can be sure to see him showing there next year. Keep up the good work Jayden!
