Public alerted to use of helicopters for wildlife research

LARAMIE –The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is alerting the public of two projects that will require use of helicopters throughout southeast Wyoming in upcoming weeks.

Beginning Dec. 1, biologists with the Game and Fish Department will be flying throughout southeast Wyoming to collect information on big game populations. Flights will take place in various locations between Wheatland and Saratoga. A helicopter will also be used to recapture moose in the Snowy Range as part of an ongoing University of Wyoming research project.

Flights could continue through the month of December, depending on weather conditions. For more information, please call the Laramie Game and Fish Department Office at 307-745-4046.
