Reckless Kelly to perform at Black Hills Stock Show

Rapid City, SD— The Black Hills Stock Show is pleased to announce Austin, TX country band, Reckless Kelly will perform during the Stock Show Stampede on Friday, Feb. 5 at the James Kjerstad Events Center located on the Central States Fairgrounds.

The Texas country super group was started by brothers Willy and Cody Braun in Bend,OR prior to relocating to Austin, TX in 1997. The group has a total of ten albums including two live albums, which emphasizes their musical talent and their reputation as a must-see musical group. Credited to their name is a 2011 Grammy nomination, four Lone Star Music Awards along with three #1 singles on Texas Radio. Recently, the group’s fan based has grown nationally due to digital downloads and emergence of internet radio.

Sharing the stage with Reckless Kelly will be the region’s popular country group Chancey Williams and The Younger Brothers. The Wyoming native and The Young Brothers band have performed on both regional and national stages, including the Cheyenne Frontier Days, Cheyenne, WY and the National Finals Rodeo’s Fan Zone in Las Vegas, NV.



“These two musical acts are the classic country of today’s generation. The music appeals to our younger generation of stock show attendees,” said Ron Jeffries, Black Hills Stock Show General Manager.

The two-day Stock Show Stampede, which saw a record attendance during 2015, will feature live music and concert on Friday and a Boots & Beer Festival with samples from SD breweries on Saturday. Friday’s events will begin with Dueling Pianos at 7 p.m., Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers at 9:30 p.m. and Reckless Kelly at 11:30 p.m.. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
