The 2010 Dakota Classic Cutting Futurity was held Oct. 1-3, 2010, at the Yellow Rose Arena in Platte, SD.

Winning the 3-year-old open class finals and named Champion was Sheza Voodo Whitch, who is sired by Peptos Blueprint. She is owned by Jason Jacobi of Monroe, NE and was ridden by Jim Whitcher of Scenic, SD winning $2,100.03 in the finals. Sheza Voodo Whitch placed fourth in the first-go and won $262.50, and in the second-go she tied for third place winning $393.76. Sheeza Voodo Whitch won the total of $2,756.29 in the Futurity.

TR Paid To Dual, sired by Dual Lena San, was the reserve champion of the 3-year-old open class. TR Paid To Dual is owned by the Talmadge River Ranch of Duluth, MN, and was ridden by J. P. Bell of Duluth, MN. She won $1,575.02 in the finals. TR Paid To Dual placed second in the first-go winning $525.01, and placed second in the second-go to win $787.51. TR Paid To Dual won a total of $2,887.54 in the 3-year-old open futurity class.

In the finals, winning third place in the 3-year-old open class was Poppin Likes To Play, sired by Poppin Peponita, owned by Don and Kathy Strain of White River, SD and ridden by J.D. Garrett of Duncan, OK. Poppin Likes To Play won $1,050.02 in the finals. The horse was first in the first-go and won $1,050.02 and in the second go placed fifth. Poppin Likes To Play won a total of $2,100.04 in the open 3-year-old class of the futurity.

In the 3-year-old open class finals, winning fourth place was Blues Lil Mate, owned by Brad Vance of Lipan, TX. Blues Lil Mate was ridden by Jim Whitcher of Scenic, SD. Blues Lil Mate won $525.01 in the finals of the 3-year-old open class. In the first-go Blues Lil Mate placed fifth, and in the second-go placed first and won $1050.02. Blues Lil Mate won a total of $1,575.03 in the open class of the futurity.

Champion of the 3-year-old non-pro class was Poppin Likes To Play, sired by Poppin Peponita. Poppin Likes To Play is owned by Don and Kathy Strain of White River, SD and was ridden by Kathy Strain of White River, SD, winning $1,570.04 in the finals. Poppin Likes To Play placed third in the first-go and won $334.13, and place first in the second-go, winning $785.20. Total money won in the 3-year-old non-pro futurity class for Poppin Likes To Play was $2,689.37.
