R&R Cattle Company’s Annual Production Sale

Dan Piroutek

Rick Palmer and Paul Geidd of Chamberlain, SD

A nice crowd gathered at Chamberlain Livestock for the annual production sale of R&R Cattle Company, owned by Steve and Elaine Reimer. There was a brisk breeze as neighbors and potential bidders walked through the pens before the sale. The Reimers have long held a reputation for good cattle, winning many of the shows and fairs across the area. The big thing about these bulls is that they not only look good, but they are extremely functional in their growth, maternal, and carcass traits.

The bulls were sold into a relatively small geographic area, selling mostly all to repeat buyers. The bulls looked extremely stout out in the pens, and I would say that this set of bulls had some of the best dispositions of any bulls that I have seen this spring.
