Average: 39 Yearling bulls – $3,835
Wayne, Susan and Kellen Wilson held the 7th Annual Wilson Ranch bull sale at St. Onge Livestock with a very nice crowd of repeat and new buyers. The bulls in the sale were Mar. and April yearlings, raised on their mothers and the rough pasture conditions of Wyoming. The bulls had not had any creep feed or supplement and many came off their mothers weighing over 900 pounds.
This was a thick, stout set of Angus/SimAngus bulls that will surely add pounds to their calf crops.
Topping the sale were two bulls at $8,000 each
Lot 28, Wilson MR 28D, a ¾ Simmental ¼ Angus Mar. 2016 son of MR TH Hammer 308A had epds of CE 7.4 BW 2.1 WW 71.5 YW 105.2 MM 17. Marty Shepard, Wheatland, Wyoming, was the buyer.
Lot 49, Wilson MR 49D, a ¼ Simmental, ¾ Angus Mar. 2016 son of W/C Cash 596B with epds of CE 13.9 BW -0.7 WW 66.4 YW 108.9 MM 15.6 sold to Gary Heinert, Parmalee, SD.
Lot 1, Wilson MR 1D, a Mar. 2016 son of MR CCF Vision with 894 pound weaning wt. and epds of CE 12.7 BW 0.9 WW 77.4 YW 118.1 MM 17.7 sold to Ray Swallow, Batesland, SD for $6,750. This bull was 50 percent Angus and 50 percent Simmental.
Lot 34, Wilson MR 34D, another 50 percent Angus, 50 percent Simmental sired by WAGR Driver 706T with epds of CE 11 BW 0.9 WW 47.1 YW 71.6 MM 16.9 sold to Marty Shepard at $5,750.
Lot 11, Wilson MR 11D is also a 50 percent Angus, 50 percent Simmental sired by MR CCF Vision with epds of CE 12.6 BW 0.8 WW 73.5 YW 114.1 MM 16 selling to Leonard Hook, Alva, Wyoming, for $5,500.
Two bulls sold for $5,250 each
Lot 23, Wilson MR 23D, a Mar. 2016 halfblood, SimAngus sired by MR TR Hammer 308A sold to Gary and Billy Clanton, Buffalo, SD.
Lot 29, Wilson MR 29D, another Mar. 2016 halfblood SimAngus sired by WAGR Driver 706T sold to Charlie Russell, Broadus, MT.
