Sioux Empire Farm Show purebred cattle entry deadline Nov. 15

SIOUX FALLS, SD – Purebred cattle entries for the 2011 Sioux Empire Farm Show must be in the farm show office by Monday, Nov. 15, 2010. The Sioux Empire Farm Show, sponsored by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25 through Saturday Jan. 29, 2011. The Angus and Simmental breeds will show and sell on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Hereford, Limousin, Red Angus, Charolais and Maine Anjou will show and sell on Thursday, Jan. 27.

The champion bull and female from each of the breeds will stand on Supreme Row until Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, when they will be judged. The winners will be presented to the general public attending the Mayor’s Round-up and Sale of Champions at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall later that evening at the Best Western Ramkota Exhibit Hall. The $12,000 Supreme Row purse sponsored by the Tri-State Neighbor as the gold sponsor, Wells Fargo Bank South Dakota as the silver sponsor and Campbell Supply Co. as the bronze sponsor, will be divided between the sellers and buyers of the Supreme Champion bull and female over all breeds.

The 58th Annual Sioux Empire Farm Show will be held at the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds Expo Building, Sioux Falls Arena and Sioux Falls Convention Center in Sioux Falls. The Sioux Empire Farm Show features livestock shows and sales and commercial exhibits. Admission is free. The Agri-Business Division of the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the show.
