Sodak Angus Ranch 52nd Annual Production Sale

Doug Hogan

Willis and Ross Kopren of Fishhook Ranch, Prairie City, SD

Sodak Angus Ranch had their 52nd year in the Red and Black Angus business in 2009. Sodak is owned by Vaughn and Lois Meyer and family and they have spent countless hours in putting together an outstanding set of bulls. These bulls could improve any herd. They were very uniform and fed right.

Sodak emphasizes on quality rather than quantity.

This year’s bull offerings included the progeny of several new out cross sires. Sodak has studied and spent much time in these new bloodlines to make sure their new and repeat customers are satisfied; and that these blood lines will compliment their herds with growth, quality and maternal traits.

With 52 years in the purebred business, you can count on quality all through these bulls and females. Sodak is very happy to continue a long-term relationship with new and repeat buyers.

The top selling bull of the day went to Lot 6, Sodak Beacon T534, an 8/15/07 80 pound birth weight son of Sitz Future Direction 9193, with EPDs of BW +4.1, WW +53, YW +88 and Milk +22. He sold to Brian Morris of Bison, SD for $5,500.
