A new event has been added to the South Dakota Horse Fair, scheduled for March 18-20 at the Expo Building at the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds, Sioux Falls, SD. A “Horseman’s Challenge” will be held over the three-day event – highlighting basic horsemanship, ranch cutting and Western trail and roping.

Beginning Friday, March 18, round one begins with basic horsemanship at 6 p.m. Round two, ranch cutting, will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday March 19. Round three, Western trail and roping, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20.

Each competitor meeting the March 1 early entry deadline will receive a premium such as a jacket or vest with the South Dakota Horse Fair logo. The Challenge will be limited to 20 entries.
