South Dakota’s first Leopold Conservation Award tour July 29 at Doud Ranch

In 2010, the first South Dakota Leopold Conservation Award recognized Rick and Marlis Doud of Midland for their outstanding stewardship practices.

The public is invited to tour the Doud Ranch to learn more about their conservation efforts on Friday, July 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tour registration begins at 9 a.m., with a welcome and Doud presentation at 9:30 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., an awards ceremony will be held, followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. The ranch tour begins at 1 p.m. and will conclude at 5 p.m. Wayne Berry, Holistic Resource Management educator from North Dakota will lead the tour.
