Strawberry Ridge Reds Annual Production Sale

Strawberry Ridge Reds Red Angus, owned by Steve and Shelly Newberry and managed by Jim and Cathy Frazier, held their 7th annual production sale at the ranch near Livingston, MT. It was a gorgeous sunshiny day with little to no wind, which made viewing the bulls enjoyable. Strawberry Ridge Reds have listened to their customers and have implemented some different genetics which has given them excellent growth, moderate birth weights, carcass, thickness and great dispositions. These bulls sold to numerous states and to long-standing repeat customers. Strawberry Ridge Reds promotes great customer service, and makes this it clear to new and repeat buyers that if they aren’t happy with a bull, it will be replaced.

Top-selling bull of the day was Lot 2, SRR Super Conquest 03, a HXC Conquest 4405P son that sold to Doug McGee from Bowman, ND, for $7,000. He was a calving ease bull with EPDs of CED +12, BW -2.9, WW +49, YW +86 and Milk +19.

Lot 10, SRR Grand Oscar 026, a Fritz Grand Oscar 8014 son, sold to HooDoo Ranch, Cody, WY, for $4,750. He was another calving ease bull with EPDs of CED +7, BW -2.0, WW +32, YW +65 and Milk +24.

Lot 12, SRR Grand Oscar 132, another Fritz Grand Oscar 8014 son, sold to Meyer Company Ranch out of Helmville, MT, for $4,500. Another great low-birth, heifer bull with EPDs of CED +8, BW -2.8, WW +28, YW +80 and Milk +23.

Lot 5, SRR Montana Pride 097, a McPhee Pacific Pride 4127 son, also sold to Meyer Company Ranch from Helmville, MT, for $4,000. He was a power house bull with EPDs of CED +1, BW +2.6, WW +60, YW +108 and Milk +18.

Lot 50, SRR Ext 0143, a Basin Ext 7455 son, sold to Price Ranch from Deer Trail, CO, for $4,000. He was another calving ease bull with a great disposition and EPDs of CED +7, BW +0.6, WW +42, YW +86 and Milk +21.
