The All American Beef Battalion – fundraising auction at Yankton livestock, South Dakota

South Dakota Livestock Marketing Association member, Yankton Livestock auction market, Yankton, SD, will be auctioning off a beef animal, March 9, at 12:00 p.m. to benefit The All American Beef Battalion.

Funds raised from the sale of the heifer, donated by Kevin Huber, Irene, SD, will go to welcome home the 842nd Engineering Company, from the Spearfish, SD area, with a ribeye steak dinner for them and their families. The soldiers have been deployed in Afghanistan since last fall.

The All American Beef Battalion was founded by Vietnam veteran Bill Broadie in 2008. Since that time the organization has fed more than 100,000 military personal and their families a ribeye steak dinner at appreciation events around the country.



Previous auctions have raised anywhere from $1500-$45,000. Depending on how many times the animal is resold and the size of donations.

They need “you” to help make this event a success and are requesting donations.
