Triple B Angus/Knoll Ranch "Performance for Profit" Production Sale

Scott Dirk

Becky Robinson, Marvin Knoll, Auctioneer Jim Birdwell, Randy Robinson and Bridgett Knoll at the start of the Triple B Angus/Knoll Ranch bull sale.

Triple B Angus/Knoll Ranch held their annual Performance for Profit bull sale on Feb. 15. The Robinson and Knoll families welcomed a very nice crowd of buyers to their heated sale facility at the ranch southwest of North Platte, NE. As a testament to the success of the operation, many in attendance have been longtime repeat bull buying customers.

This was a very thick, stout and deep set of yearling bulls. These cattle have been bred and developed with the most important economic traits in mind, that being, calving ease, rapid growth and excellent carcass ability. Without forgetting about maternal and structural soundness. This elite set of heifer calves were right out of the replacement pen. They were a very broody set of heifers, some will make excellent show heifers and all will be excellent mother cows.

In order to keep up on how their cattle compare to others in a real world setting, Triple B Angus/Knoll Ranch has entered cattle in the Sandhills Cattle Association’s Educational, Performance and Carcass contest for the past several years. Last year the heifers they sent won first, second and third place for gain and earned the honor of best three head overall, including the steers – proving that these cattle work for both the rancher and the feeder.
