Urlacher Angus Bull Sale

Dan Piroutek

Russ and Blaine Homelvig and their girls of Rhame, ND, bought bulls for the IOU Ranch.

Urlacher Angus, owned by Greg and Mary Urlacher and their family, hosted a big crowd for their annual production sale at Bowman Livestock. The sale had been postponed from Monday to Friday, because of a ground blizzard on Monday.

The weather on sale day was beautiful and this crowd of mostly repeat buyers bid very aggressively to make this the best sale ever for the Urlachers. They offered more bulls this year and the average was up by over $300 a head.

This operation offers only two-year-old virgin bulls that are not overfed, and stand up well for their commercial customers.
