Viable domestic energy industry

In this unstable world, where the availability of commodities and money seem to vary at the whim of unstable dictators, isn’t it comforting to know that in the United States, we have a viable domestic energy industry? Isn’t it comforting to know, that if left unhampered by government regulations and political back stabbing, our domestic energy industry can grow to meet the demands of energy self-sufficiency and then become an energy exporting nation?

With the transition to the new Obama administration, we need to work to educate our policy makers on the importance of cutting off our dependence on unstable and unfriendly energy supplies. We have the energy. We have the know-how. We have the drive. It is time for our government to get out of the way, and allow the American people to reclaim economic and energy security. The way to do that is to get unreasonable and unpredictable government regulations out of the way, and to work toward domestic energy independence.

For a generation, now, we have been training our nation’s children to believe that the domestic energy industry is something bad. We need to change those attitudes, and we need to become an energy exporting nation. Only that way will we be able to bring all of those dollars we have been sending overseas for a generation back into the American economy.
