Wyoming: Annual Wyoming Day at National Western is Jan. 22

Wyoming Day, an annual event at the National Western Stockshow in Denver, CO, will be held on Saturday Jan. 22. The Wyoming Stock Growers Association (WSGA) has arranged for buses leaving from Cheyenne to accommodate any who would like to attend. The bus will also stop in Fort Collins at the Harmony Transfer Center to pick up passengers traveling from Laramie.

The Wyoming Day schedule includes the following:

• Group Bus from Cheyenne and Fort Collins

• A VIP luncheon at the National Western Club

• Touring the Stock Show

• Wyoming Day Rodeo

• Dinner in Fort Collins

• Bus trip back to Cheyenne

During Wyoming Day, Wyoming citizens are recognized at the rodeo and Wyoming officials are ushered around the rodeo arena in a stagecoach. State elected officials are invited to join the group as they show their Wyoming spirit and enjoy a day at the National Western.

Participants may either make their own travel arrangements or join the group bus leaving from the WSGA offices in Cheyenne at 8 a.m., or get on the bus in Fort Collins at the Harmony Transfer Center (vehicles can be parked here for the day free of charge.) Everyone is welcome to attend, but in order to enjoy the full day of activities listed above, reservations are required. For more information and registration packets call the WSGA office at 307-638-3942 and speak with Kosha Olsen or visit http://www.wysga.org.
