Wyoming: Gary Sides speaks at April 26 forum in Laramie

How technology combines with agriculture to feed the world is the topic of a forum Tuesday, April 26, on the University of Wyoming campus.

Open to the public, the presentation by Gary Sides, a nutritionist with Pfizer Animal Health, begins at 3 p.m. in room 302 in the Classroom Building. Refreshments, questions and an opportunity to visit with Sides begin at 4 p.m.

Sponsors include the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Albany County Farm Bureau.

“The Farm Bureau contacted the college to recommend Gary Sides as a speaker who emphasizes the importance of agriculture in feeding the world,” said Jim Wangberg, associate dean and director of the Office of Academic and Student Programs in the college. “Among his themes are the often-overlooked or under appreciated aspects of agricultural production. Hence, we joined others to help sponsor the event for our students and the public.”

Other partners include the Albany County Cow-Belles, Albany County Stock Growers Association, Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Committee, Laramie Rivers Conservation District, Wyoming Beef Council and the Wyoming Business Council.
