Wyoming: Grazing management tips at two Cody presentations

Two programs offering grazing management tips are in Cody, WY, Wednesday, June 29.

The presentations, by the University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service (UW CES), are at noon and at 7 p.m. in the EOC room of the Park County Courthouse.

Barton Stam, extension educator based in Hot Springs County and specializing in range, will give grazing management suggestions for rural landowners.

In addition to other grazing topics, Stam will discuss forage plants and their nutritional values for horses. He will point out poisonous plants such as larkspur, death camas and locoweed, all in bloom right now, and discuss how to eliminate them from pastures.

For more information, contact UW CES educator Sandra Frost in Powell at 307-754-8836 or sfrost1@uwyo.edu.
