Miss Rodeo WY 2013
Holly Kennedy, Miss Albany County Farm Bureau from Laramie, took home the honors of Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2013. The Miss Rodeo Wyoming pageant was held in Douglas, WY Aug. 13-17, 2012, during the Wyoming State Fair. There were five young women vying for the title of Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2013 from across the state. Contestants included Kennedy, Christina Albertini, Miss Sweetwater County Rodeo from Rock Springs, Amber Ezell, Miss Outriders from Rawlins, Kodie Lester, Miss Laramie Jubilee Days from Laramie, and Bridget Seidel, Miss Cody Stampede from Cody. The contestants were judged by a panel of three highly qualified judges including Wayne Smith of New Mexico, Nyla Bristow and Lynn Welker both from Colorado.
Kimberly Kuhn, Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2012, was on hand for the awards ceremony. The Wyoming State Fair Director, James Goodrich, and Wyoming Director of Agriculture, Jason Fearneyhough, presented the saddle to Kennedy.
Kennedy took home the categories of Knowledge, Photogenic, Speech, Personality, Appearance and Horsemanship.
The first runner-up went to Bridget Seidel, Miss Cody Stampede from Cody. The second runner-up went to Christina Albertini, Sweetwater County Rodeo Queen from Rock Springs. Alberitni also won Congeniality.
Kodie Lester took home the categories of Scrapbook and Sales Achievement.
