NILE Gold Buckles Horse Sales Now taking consignments
The NILE is now taking consignment for the Gold Buckle Horse Sales that will take place Oct. 18-19, during the NILE Stock Show in Billings, Mont. This two day sale will feature weanlings and yearlings on Friday, Oct. 18, and a Performance Horse Sale presented by First Interstate Bank on Saturday, Oct. 19. Both sales will begin at 12:30 p.m. respectively.
The NILE Gold Buckle Horse Sales are some of this regions premier horse sales with reputable breeders offering the finest bloodlines in the industry. The sale has long held a solid reputation for bringing together a selection of consignments for those looking for good ranch horses, roping horses, reining horses, cutting horses, kid horses, and futurity prospects.
In addition to the Gold Buckle Sales will be the NILE Futurities. A total of five futurities will be held in conjunction with the sale paying out a combined total of over $15,000. Along with the Yearling and Snaffle Bit Futurities, three more futurities have been added in recent years, including the 3-year-old, 4-year-old, and Barrel Racing Futurities. “The Futurities have played a big part in the success and growth of our sales,” says NILE Horse Sale Committee Chairman, Ward Fenton. “It has provided tremendous incentive for consignors and buyers in the NILE Horse Sales.” Last year the NILE added the 3-year-old Futurity and a Barrel Racing Futurity sponsored by Midnight Corona. This year the 4-year-old Futurity was added. Entries into the later three futurities are eligible when a horse is consigned and sold through a NILE sale or if a breeder nominates a stallion.
Consignments for this year’s NILE Gold Buckle Horse Sale are due by August 20, 2013. Consignment forms and a schedule of all events and futurities are available through the NILE office or online at: http://www.thenile.org. There was another round of snow in the area, but not as much as last week’s. I probably got 2-3 inches here. It’s sloppy wet and soaking in. Every drop is welcome.
