Nominations sought for the Don Brunner Memorial Grit and Perseverance Award

AQHA Region 2 Championship show presents the Don Brunner Memorial Grit And Perservance Award each year to a person who exemplifies what we remember in Don Brunner, needs a helping hand and/or should be recognized for their grit and determination. The award will be presented during the Regional Championship Quarter Horse Show at Rapid City, SD, Sept. 15-18.

Don Brunner has been described by his fellow horsemen as, fun-loving, encouraging, helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable and was ‘always there when you needed him’. He brought a positive attitude to all that he did and brought joy and spirit to all who knew him. It is to honor Don’s spirit, the Don Brunner Memorial Grit and Perseverance Award has been established to recognize a horseperson who has overcome a significant hardship while preparing for or participating in our regional horse shows over the past years.
