Register for the 2016 AQHA Convention
The American Quarter Horse Journal, December 10, 2015 – The American Quarter Horse Association is an organization that works for its members. Each spring, AQHA holds an annual convention to review member-submitted rule changes, appoint new AQHA directors, induct new members into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and present year-end awards. The 2016 AQHA Convention is March 11-14 at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
AQHA invites members to attend a fun and exciting convention. New at the convention are the equine industry small business workshop and industry town hall meeting. The equine industry small business workshop, sponsored by the AQHA Professional Horsemen’s Council, is from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 11. All horsemen and small business owners are encouraged to attend. Later that day, a town hall meeting focusing on industry issues will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Convention attendees are invited to weigh in on hard-hitting issues in the equine industry. The issues being discussed include:
The State of the Horse Industry: What are the key opportunities and threats facing our industry?
The Power of Perception: What can you do to affect public opinion of our horse and our industry?
Members can register for the convention online. Convention pricing will increase after January 31, 2016. For registration questions, please contact AQHA.
