WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced its 2014-15 All-Americans on Wednesday, and three South Dakota State equestrian riders earned the honor.

Freshman Mariah Wright earned NCEA All-American first team honors in reining after posting a 9-3-1 record with a school single-season record five MOP awards.

"The award is a great honor itself, but for Mariah to achieve All-American status as a freshman makes it even more impressive," head coach Megan Rossiter said. "Mariah is extremely educated in her discipline as well as being a truly gifted athlete. She's a great example of what happens when talent is combined with hard work. We're lucky to have her on our team."

Along with Wright, junior Marielle Golden earned NCEA All-American Honorable mention on the flat and freshman Miranda Sullivan honorable mention in reining.

"Both Marielle and Miranda put together great seasons, and we're extremely proud them as well," added Rossiter. "We lose some great seniors this year, but we've also got some great talent coming back, so I'm really excited for next season."

Golden led the Jackrabbits on the flat in 2014-15 with a 9-4 record and one MOP. Those nine wins set a new single-season record for wins on the flat and give her an SDSU record 14 wins in her career.
