World’s Smallest Rodeo showcases fun side of Black Hills Stock Show®

RAPID CITY, SD — First Interstate Bank is proud to bring the World’s Smallest Rodeo to the 2015 Black Hills Stock Show® on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015. The World’s Smallest Rodeo showcases the stick horse skills of children ages 3 years to 5 years old. The event has a limit of 65 total contestants, so it is important to complete an application early.

Applications and rules are available at First Interstate Bank locations throughout the Black Hills. A $5 per contestant entry fee is due with the application. Completed entry forms should be returned to the Black Hills Stock Show® office in Room 101 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center. Entries close Jan. 30 or when the limit is reached.

Each contestant will receive a Contestant Award Certificate, a First Interstate Bank rodeo back number and an official Black Hills Stock Show® Wild Stick Horse.

Contestants may compete in up to four events:

· Stick Horse Parade—contestants will be introduced as they parade their stick horse and prizes will be presented by First Interstate Bank for the best dressed cowboy and best dressed cowgirl

· Pole Bending

· Barrel Race

· Wild Horse Ride

Beginning at 8 a.m. on Jan. 31, several Junior Miss Rodeo Queens will be on hand to sign autographs and assist with the event. Contestant check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the competition kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Crystalyx BioBarrel Sale Ring in Rushmore Hall at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
