Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame makes inductions

The beautiful central Wyoming community of Casper is rolling out the red WELCOME carpet for incoming Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame (WCHF) Honorees, family and friends the weekend of September 24 and 25. The WCHF Class of 2016 includes forty-nine men and four women from across the state, to be inducted in a celebratory ceremony Sunday the 25th in the Casper Events Center main arena.

Whether flying, driving or riding your best horse, make sure you hit Casper in time to enjoy it all! Last year’s event nearly surpassed Events Center capacity, and only 1200 tickets have been printed this year.

Wyoming’s large cowboy and cowgirl population is widely and remotely scattered, making big gatherings rare. Such occasions become cherished, highly anticipated and deeply rewarding events. The Mix & Mingle opening at 6 pm Saturday the 25th at Parkway Plaza in Casper will be one of those, bringing an overflow crowd as past, present and future Honorees gather in the Ballroom to enjoy visiting, appetizers, cash bar and even an easy listening background of quiet old-time Western music provided by Dynamic Sound and Light.

Tickets for the Induction Ceremony are $20 per person, regardless of age, and available tickets will be on sale during this event in Parkway Plaza. Reserved, prepaid tickets can also be picked up there; and if any tickets remain they’ll be sold at the Casper Events Center on Sunday morning the 25th.

Those attending the Saturday Mix & Mingle evening will also enjoy shopping select silent auction and raffle items, buying Class of 2016 Commemorative Posters and booklets with Honoree photos and information, ordering WCHF Commemorative belt buckles and buying WCHF branded merchandise such as vests, jackets, scarves, caps and much more.

As the evening progresses, Country music for dancing by Dynamic Sound and Light will please the boot-scootin’-boogie crowd in the Ballroom from 9 pm to midnight.

The two Casper host hotels are adjacent to the Interstate near the Events Center and both offer breakfast specials with each night’s lodging. Ramkota Hotel Casper is located at 800 North Poplar Street, (307) 266-6000 and offers shuttle service for airport pickup as well as to and from Parkway Plaza Saturday evening and to and from the Casper Events Center on Sunday. Parkway Plaza is at 123 West E. Street, 307-234-1777 or toll free at 1-800-270-7829.
