Moisture, buyers, and high quality cattle were in no short supply in Miles City for the Currant Creek Angus Ranch Spring Bull Sale. With a firm conviction in the program, ranchers from all over put their operations on hold to show up and buy these bulls. For the money, these are some of the most sound and well-conditioned bulls a guy can find. They are made and developed to go and carve out their own living, but don’t let that statement scare you because they are some high gaining rascals. One has to appreciate what Currant Creek Angus Ranch has accomplished here, they’ve developed a high efficient animal that won’t take a lot of input but can still pack on the pounds to any and all progeny. My overall impression this spring is just that, impressed. Not only will these bulls last a lifetime but also they’ll look good doing it. Here is just a sampling of the top end:

Selling for $7,500 was Lot 61, CCAR Discovery C070, to Sioux Pass Livestock of Lodge Grass, Montana. He’s a VAR Discovery 2240 son born 3/28/15 at 80 pounds with a 772 pounds 205. He has EPDs of BW 1.2, WW 62, YW 117, and Milk 34.
