Ellingson Angus is a fourth-generation Angus operation owned by Chad and Julie Ellingson and their children Stetson, Jameson, Sierra, Medora and Sheridan of St. Anthony, N.D.

The top-selling bulls stopped the gavel at $50,000 each. The first was Lot 81 (#18181431), Ellingson Plateau 5050, a Feb. 23, 2015, son of Ellingson Plateau 1155 and EA Emblynette 9203, a daughter of SAV Final Answer 0035. He sold to Hoffman Ranch of Nebraska. The other $50,000 bull was Lot 60 (#18182772), Ellingson Resource 5186, a March 6, 2015, son of SAV Resource 1441 and SAV Blacklass 124 EA, a daughter of Basin Max 602C. He sold to Talkington Angus of North Dakota and ST Genetics of Texas.

Spickler Ranch of North Dakota purchased the next high-selling bull, Ellingson Resource 5212, Lot 69 (#18182675), for $28,000. He is a March 13, 2015, son of SAV Resource 1441 and EA Hyalite Lady 1333, a Tehama Blackcap Revolution daughter.

Alta Genetics of Wisconsin and Diamond J Angus of North Dakota teamed up to buy the next high-selling bulls, Lot 43 (#18242269) and Lot 149 (#18181273). Lot 43, Ellingson Resource 5030, is a Feb. 21, 2015, son of SAV Resource 1441 and a Sitz Upward 307R dam, EA Emma 820, that brought $25,000. Lot 149, Ellingson Identity 5062, is a Feb. 23, 2015, son of Ellingson Identity 9104 and a Boyd Cowboy 908 dam, EA Emblynette 3311. He sold for $20,000.

Ressler Angus Ranch of North Dakota selected the top-selling registered open yearling heifer, EA Blackcap 5013, a Feb. 18, 2015, daughter of Koupal Advance 28 and EA Blackcap 3225, a Connealy Earnan 076E daughter. She sold as Lot 185 (#18181302) and brought $16,500.

The next high-selling registered open yearling heifer was Lot 188 (#18181276), EA Emblynette 5241. She is a March 17, 2015, daughter of Koupal Advance 28 and EA Emblynette 3249, an Ellingson Identity 9104 daughter. She sold to Trowbridge Angus of New York for $5,500.

Ressler Angus Ranch of North Dakota also bought Lot 204, half-interest in EA Madame Pride 0040 (#16724981), for $21,500. The Sitz Dimension 8607 x EA Madame Pride 8828 cow is bred for a March 1, 2016, CTS Remedy 1T01 bull calf.

The top-selling draft of commercial open heifers was consigned by Ellingson Angus customer Prairie Diamond Ranch of Richardton and Hebron, N.D. The heifers sold to DBW Ranch of North Dakota for $1,450 each.

The top-selling draft of commercial bred heifers was consigned by Ellingson Angus customer Katus Ranch of Watauga, S.D. The heifers sold to John Lake of South Dakota for $2,125 each.
