Nathan Palm brought a strong set of cattle to his third annual bull and female sale, at Glacial Lakes Livestock Auction. A big crowd was in attendance to bid on and buy a good group of age-advantaged bulls sired by some of the breed’s best AI bulls.

Leading of the bulls was an own son of Connealy-Consensus 7229. Lot 1 commanded $9,000 and was purchased by Dean Hunt of Gary, South Dakota.

Mike Assman of Mission, South Dakota, took home a pair of bulls. He bought lot 9, a low birth, high growth son of 7229, for $7,500. He then bought a very comparable son of GAR Ingenuity, lot 30, for $6,500.

In-between those bulls was lot 36, a big numbered son of the widely popular RB Tour of Duty 177, he was purchased by Stricherz Ranch of Labolt, S.D., for $7,000. Rounding out the high sellers on the bull side was lot 25, a high growth son of Sitz Upward 307R brought $6,500 to Bob Blohm of Reinbeck, Iowa.

The main attraction of the day came from the female division. SAV Blackcap May 3175, an own daughter of Consensus 7229 that stems back to some of the best Schaff genetics, was by far the crowd favorite as she was the top seller of the day at $19,000, Edgar Brothers of Rockham were the final bidders on this future cornerstone donor.
