The Bischoff family hosted their annual bull and female sale on March 5, 2016, in Huron. A good group of repeat and commercial cattlemen filled the seats for the auction. It was a fast moving sale with those in attendance bidding up on the offering.
High selling lots:
• High seller – Lot 6, $10,000, RV 9021 MR Hereford 5921, polled April 15, 2015, a son of CR111 MR Hereford 2109 ET sold to Mader Farms, Inc., at Jennings, Kansas.
• Second high seller – Lot 2, $9,250, selling three-quarter interest to Wagner Hereford at Redfield, South Dakota. The horned bull is a son of NJW 73S W18 Hometown 10Y ET.
• Third high seller – Lot 31, RV Home Style 5611, was a March 30, 2015, polled son of NJW 73S W18 Hometown 10Y ET. He sold to Stahly Ranch, Cavour, S.D.
• Fourth high seller – Lot 10, RV Splash 5930 ET. This March 23, 2015, polled bull sold to Gayle Hilgeman, Oklee, Minnesota.
• Fifth high seller – Lot 21, RV Times UP 5246, March 22, 2015. A three-quarter interest in this polled bull went to Scott Henderson, Bossier City, Louisiana.
• Sixth high seller, Lot 22, RV Hometown 5923, a son of C Hometown 3124. This polled March 24, 2015 born bull was sold to Craig Thieman, Winner, S.D.
Two volume buyers in the heifer part of the sale were Keith Eickler, Aberdeen, South Dakota and Frank Redlin, Summit, South Dakota.
