TJS Red Angus 8th Annual ‘Red Truck’ Sale

Couldn’t have picked a nicer day in Buffalo, Wyoming for the 8th Annual TJS Red Angus “Red Truck” Sale. The weather was second rate when compared to the impressive set of aged-advantaged bulls offered. These truly were the “cowboy” kind of bulls that had a clean rugged look. Any cowman could have purchased any bull from top to bottom and not gone wrong. The sound feet and good boned cattle were also overshadowed by the Shick’s kindness and hospitality, congrats on a whale of sale and here is how the top end looked:
Lot 23, TJS Right Kind B166, rang the bell at a stunning $20,000. Purchased by Red Path Cattle LLC of Banner, Wyoming, and he posted EPDs of BW -1.4, WW 74, YW 109, and Milk 17. This Loosli Right Kind 147 son was born May 25, 2014, weighing 83 pounds and has an Adj. WW of 675 pounds.
Lot 17, TJS BUF Right Kind B112, was purchased by Calvo Red Angus from Bassett, Nebraska, for $18,500. This BUF CRK The Right Kind U199 son was born May, 2014 weighing in at 70 pounds and posted an Adj WW 614 pounds. He posted EPDs of BW -4.1, WW 58, YW 92, and Milk 23.
Udy Cattle Company from Rockland, Idaho got what they came for in Lot 14, TJS BUF Primed B070, for $15,000. Another U199 son posting EPDs of BW -2.3, WW 67, YW 103, and Milk 22. He was born May, 2014, weighing 80 pounds and recorded and Adj WW of 655 pounds.
Lot 36, TJS Forged B014, sold for $13,000 to Lee Red Angus of Hansen, Idaho. Here is a Paringa Iron Ore E27 son born May 2014, at 86 pounds and posted an Adj WW of 683 pounds. He put up EPDs of BW -0.2, WW 65, YW 113, and Milk 20.
Squeezing in the top at $12,000 was Lot 35, TJS Armoured B113, not having a long way to travel to Buffalo, Wyoming, with Steve Wuthier. Here is another Paringa Iron Ore E27 son with an actual birth weight of 85 pounds and an Adj. WW of 671 pounds. Born May, 2014, he posted EPDs of BW -0.7, WW 76, YW 133, and Milk 17.
