The VanNewkirk family focuses on the female. This attention to maternal traits became obvious as the bidding started. The top 14 bulls in this well-attended sale were sired by 13 different herd sires.
The crowd was tremendous, even on an brisk, chilly January day. Customers took advantage of burning barrels to warm up for a few minutes while evaluating the growthy, stretchy bulls.
When it was all said and done, VanNewkirk bulls ended up going to 15 different states.
