Evenson Angus, Hettinger, North Dakota held their 36th annual Production sale at Lemmon Livestock Auction on Mar. 17, 1016. Bill and Eleanora Evenson, Trevor and Carrie Strand along with Wally and Rodney Evenson welcomed a very nice crowd of buyers for the sale.
If you're looking for bulls with a little more frame, but full of natural thickness, muscling, and fleshing ability, this is the place to find them. These are performance bulls that will add extra pounds to your calf crop. There was also a great selection of calving ease bulls that will fit most any program.
Evenson Angus selects herd sires that will flesh easily in the feedlot and will excel in the pasture. For the past 8 years they have carcass tested their cattle and finished out the steers. This gives them a real world perspective on what their cattle will do in the pasture and in the feedlot. The resulting data for last year's steers that went to slaughter was 98.96 percent Choice or better, 15.23 percent prime and 54.99 percent qualified for CAB.
