Another beautiful day it was in western Montana for the Feddes Red Angus and C-T Red Angus production sale. It was a continuation of the Easter Sunday celebration as friends, family, and complete strangers came together to feast and bid competitively for these red hot Red Angus cattle. Genetics is a huge focal point in this cowherd that is culled and kept to optimize the calf crop, getting the producer that ever-coveted premium dollar. The Feddes and DeBoer families really do an awesome job growing these bulls and getting them in sale shape. They were big and thick and ready to go to work. Colonel Joe Goggins kept the pace quick and snappy and here's the top end:

Lot 17, C-T Prim 5097, is heading back to my neck of the woods with Dave Baumen of Linton, ND for $15,000. Sired by PCHFRK Prime 1323, this bull was born 2/12/15 at 77lbs and was a whopping 818lbs on his 205. He posted EPDs of BW -4.2, WW 61, YW 96, and Milk 29.
Crump Red Angus of Gillette, WY got their hands on Lot 10, Feddes Waubay Y29-C239, for $12,500. This son of Feddes Conquest Y34 recorded EPDs of BW -3.3, WW 56, YW 95, and Milk 32. He was born 1/28/15 at 77lbs and was 747 on his 205.
Selling for $11,000 was Lot 1, Feddes RBH Rainier C503, to Carroll Nelson of Rygate, MT. He was born 1/19/15 at 77lbs and was 781lbs on his 205 all while being sired by Brown JYJ Redemption Y1334. He has EPDs of BW -3.5, WW 67, YW 114, and Milk 19.
Cross Canyon Ranch of Avon, MT took charge on Lot 14, C-T Makin Time 5103, for $10,000. Sired by Bieber Make Mimi 7249 and born 2/13/15 at 85lbs and 857lbs on his 205. His EPDs include BW -0.9, WW 71, YW 109, and Milk 23.
Also selling for $10,000 was Lot 9, Feddes Flathead C277, to Bar Open A Ranch in Hamer, ID. He's a Redemption Y1334 son with excellent EPDs that include BW -4.0, WW 61, YW 101, and Milk 28. This bull was born 2/11/15 at 76lbs and was 769lbs on his 205.
